Dr Renata Vidaković was born in 1978. in Zagreb, where she finished elementary school and gymnasium. She graduated from the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Zagreb in 2003. among the best students of the generation earning the title of Doctor of Dental Medicine. After finishing postgraduate residency in orthodontics in 2009., she became a Specialist in Orthodontics.

She begun with clinical work during her studies, in 2001. Joining Professor Mladen Šlaj, in his private practice focusing on orthodontics from the very start. After 20 years of continuous and dedicated practice, she opened her Dental office specialized for orthodontics in at the address Ulica Ivana Cankara 21, Zagreb.

Dr Vidaković is involved in research, publishing, and lecturing. After finishing postgraduate doctoral studies, she defended her doctoral thesis in 2021. at the School of Medicine, University of Rijeka, earning the title of Doctor of Science, PhD. Over the years she has been a member of research teams on scientific projects funded by the University of Zagreb and the University of Rijeka. Dr Vidakovic has published scientific papers and is the author/co-author of chapters in books about orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics. Dr Vidaković was also a professional simultaneous interpreter of English at symposiums organised by the Croatian Orthodontic Society. She is proficient in English and French, with passive knowledge of Italian.

As an orthodontist, Dr Vidaković successfully collaborates with esteemed colleagues, dentists, and specialist in periodontology, prosthodontics, pedodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery. She is equally happy to deal with “simple” treatments of children and adults as well as with complex ones: blocked canines, transpositions, periodontally compromised adult patients, orthognathic-surgical treatments, extensive smile-makeovers. With openness, but also caution, she has initiated and coordinated the introduction of new orthodontic techniques, procedures, and protocols. Over the years, she has mentored generations of dentists and dental assistants.
